Lisa is the founder and director of Lisa's Learning Lab. Lisa started a tutoring company after witnessing the transformative impact that individual one-on-one learning can have on students. She saw firsthand how strategic goals and frequent progress monitoring could significantly enhance a student’s academic performance and confidence as they meet their goals. This inspired her to create a business dedicated to providing personalized education and support to help each student reach their full potential.
With over ten years of teaching in elementary classrooms, Lisa has a deep understanding of the learning expectations of Kindergarten through 6th grade. Lisa has served as a master teacher, where she mentored other educators, sharing her expertise and fostering a collaborative environment. Her dedication and excellence in teaching were recognized when she won the prestigious Teacher of the Year award in 2022, highlighting her outstanding contributions to education and her impact on students and colleagues alike. She recently earned a Master’s degree in Literacy and Language Education from CSUF and now works as a literary specialist.
Dedicated to an explicit and systematic approach, Lisa strives to ensure that every student acquires the foundational skills necessary to become proficient readers. Her commitment to evidence-based practices underscores her teaching philosophy and drives her effort to differentiate learning for each student, recognizing that each child has unique needs and learning styles. She is dedicated to building confidence in her students, helping them see themselves as capable readers, writers, and mathematicians. She understands the importance of fostering a love for learning and aims to make the tutoring sessions an enjoyable and rewarding experience for each student.
